Training is the key to maintaining the readiness of our military forces. The Battle Command Training Center - Dodge (BCTC - Dodge) provides training opportunities on several vital systems for reserve component personnel.

Mission
The mission of the BCTC - Dodge program is to develop, conduct, and support the training of Army Battle Command Systems to Reserve Component personnel.

Training Options
BCTC - Dodge offers several options to meet your individual or unit training needs.

  • Initial individual training:
    • On site
    • At the DTDC Campus
    • On your computers
    • On our computers
  • Integration training for units:
    • BN level
    • BDE level
  • Support for CPXs

Maintain Your Training
Once individuals or units are qualified on systems through BCTC - Dodge training, keep the skills sharp with our refresher training, collateral material, and additional support.

Training is available for:

  • Individual operator skills
  • Section skills
  • "Stove pipe" skills between sections in higher and lower headquarters
  • Integration skills between sections within a headquarters

Collateral material and other support:

  • Operator support material
  • Advice in the development of unit TTPs and SOPs
  • Tailored follow-up training to address specific requirements or concerns
  • Provide "over the shoulder" support during CPXs and other exercises

Testing for the Future
BCTC - Dodge supports efforts to improve training opportunities for National Guard personnel. BCTC - Dodge operates a lab to test remote or distributed training concepts and methods. National Guard units and their personnel are offered opportunities to participate in many of these tests, which serve to expand and maintain their skills in systems operations while helping BCTC - Dodge improve the training it offers.

Testing has included Proof of Principle Tests 1-3 for the testing of distributed training to National Guard and Active Duty soldiers throughout the Army. BCTC - Dodge has also participated in Joint Warrior Interoperability Demonstrations (JWIDs) and Communications Interoperability Demonstrations (CIDs) with other nations.
